The Low Anthem has stopped me in my tracks...

What can be said--listening to this entire CD is like hiking for hours through dense forest with occasional rocky, narrow paths which require you to pull your body in close to the mountain as you pass.  You come to a clearing and find a broke-down church, floors sagging from tears and bended knees.  Beside the church is a graveyard overcome by raucous weeds.  And towering just above a lone sunflower is an altar made of a couple amps and on top a perfectly round stone from deep in the river you passed at the beginning of your journey.

Try another sampling...
I hardly know what to do with their sound...it comes from long ago and yet it is prescient.  You can find out more about the band by visiting http://www.lowanthem.com/site/.

Go visit...I'll wait.
